New Website

We have a new website! It is based on Hugo and the mainboard theme.

It is still under construction shoudl be reasonably up to date. I will slowly migrate older content to the new site in the next few weeks. I

Leah's Team at HKUST

Leah and her team, Empathera, has made it to the final round of the HKUST-SINO Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition in Hong Kong. They are among the top 5 selected internationally to pitch their product in-person to HKUST faculty and entrepreneurs in Hong Kong. The team is working on a device that would help prevent pressure ulcers for patients in ICUs. They originally met at Cornell’s Health Hackathon earlier in the year where they won the grand prize.

Curie Academy

We hosted a session at the CURIE Academy and the CATALYST Academy.

The topic was interdisciplinary research and how insights from biology can inform engineering, specifically our work on honeycomb construction and how it relates to our work on robotic construction.

Aaron has two papers at ICRA24

Aaron presented his paper on ground texture localization at ICRA in Yokohama, Japan. Additionally, he was a coauthor on a pruning estimation paper.
