Andrew presented Aaron’s and his paper at IROS24 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates! The paper explores how to leverage phase transitions for robots made of ice.

Leah and her team, Empathera, has made it to the final round of the HKUST-SINO Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition in Hong Kong. They are among the top 5 selected internationally to pitch their product in-person to HKUST faculty and entrepreneurs in Hong Kong. The team is working on a device that would help prevent pressure ulcers for patients in ICUs. They originally met at Cornell’s Health Hackathon earlier in the year where they won the grand prize.
