Haron Abdel-Raziq (Shell)

Bio: Haron Mahmoud Abdel-Raziq received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2013. After, he attended the University of California-Berkeley and received a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2015. From 2015-2017, he worked at Ford Motor Company. After Ford, Haron attended Cornell University starting August 2017 as a PhD student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, advised by Professor Kirstin Petersen. During his PhD, he interned with Shell Oil Company in their Artificial Intelligence department. His PhD research was at the intersection of robotics and pollinator ecology, applying robotics to study and model pollinator behavior as well as developing methods and systems for monitoring them. After graduation, he returned to Shell as a Data Scientist in the Artificial Intelligence division.
