The Professial Bio
Volcano Cathy Chen graduated from Hillsborough High School in May 2005, and entered Cornell University that fall. She is currently working towards her bachelor's in Electrical and Computer Engineering, with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. The summer after her freshman year, she interned at Burpee Materials Technology, LLC. in Eatontown, New Jersey. There she worked with the research and development team, as well as the manufacturing team in designing and producing stents and stent-like devices. The summer after her sophomore year, she stayed at Cornell to work in the lab of Professor Chris Schaffer, in BME, as well as the lab of Professor Sally McKee, in ECE. Her research interests include computer architecture, bioelectronics, and the integration of computers and human nerves.
